Dental Implants in Broomfield and Northglenn, Colorado
Why Choose a Periodontist for Dental Implants?
You can get dental implants from a general dentist or an oral surgeon. Many patients do not realize that periodontists are also implant specialists, and in many cases, the best choice for complex cases.
Here is why:
Bone and gum expertise. Implants are only as good as the bone and gum tissue that surrounds them. Periodontists are the specialists trained in managing those tissues. If you have bone loss from gum disease or tooth extraction, a periodontist is best positioned to address that before or during implant placement.
Advanced residency training. Periodontists complete a three-year residency beyond dental school that focuses on implants, bone grafting, and soft tissue management. Our doctors have been placing implants for decades.
Board certification. All five doctors at Colorado Gum Care are board-certified by the American Board of Periodontology. This credential requires passing additional exams beyond the residency requirement. Fewer than half of all periodontists earn it.
We offer several implant solutions depending on how many teeth you are replacing and your overall oral health.

Implant Options at Colorado Gum Care
Colorado Gum Care places dental implants at our Broomfield and Northglenn offices. Our periodontists are board-certified specialists with 40 years of experience in the procedures that make implants work, including bone grafting, gum surgery, and complex extractions.
- Missing Teeth: If you have one or more missing teeth, dental implants can be an excellent solution.
- Difficulty Chewing: Have you been experiencing difficulty chewing your food? This can be a telltale sign that your natural teeth are not functioning as they should.
- Shifting Teeth: When you lose a tooth, the surrounding teeth may start to shift or move into the empty space.
- Bone Loss: Tooth loss can lead to bone loss in the jaw. This is because the natural tooth roots stimulate the jawbone and keep it healthy.
If you are missing one tooth, a single implant post and crown is the most natural replacement option. Unlike a dental bridge, an implant does not require reducing the teeth on either side. It also prevents bone loss in the area where the tooth was lost.

Single Tooth Implant
A single tooth implant is a permanent replacement that does not require reducing the teeth on either side. It also prevents bone loss at the extraction site. Most patients are comfortable throughout with local anesthesia or sedation.
All-on-4 Dental Implants
All-on-4 typically does not require bone grafting, which makes it accessible for patients with some bone loss. The fixed arch is attached the same day the implants are placed in many cases.
Teeth in a Day
Teeth in a Day (same-day implants) places a provisional set of teeth on the same day as implant surgery. Not everyone qualifies. You need adequate bone density and stable implants to support the provisional teeth. We determine eligibility during your evaluation.
Dental Implant Longevity
Dental implants are permanent. The titanium post can last a lifetime with proper care. The crown on top typically lasts 10-15 years before it may need replacement due to normal wear.
How Much Do Dental Implants Cost in Colorado?
The cost of a single dental implant in Colorado typically ranges from $3,000 to $5,500, including the titanium post, abutment, and crown. Your total will depend on:
- How many teeth you are replacing
- Whether you need bone grafting or extractions first
- Which implant option you choose (single, All-on-4, Teeth in a Day)
- Your insurance coverage
Some dental insurance plans cover part of the cost. We help you understand your benefits before treatment begins and offer financing options for patients who qualify.
